Our History

In 1872, the grave sections of  Evergreen Cemetery were laid out and the first burial was later in that same year. As the years went on, additional improvements and features were added.  In 1914, the driveways and lawns were planted by Chester E. Welch, who owned the cemetery and was also a co-owner of Welch Griffin Funeral Home. Under his management there were 397 interments.

Staff members of Evergreen Funeral Home & Memorial Park are caring and experienced professionals who understand that each family is unique and has personal requests and traditions. These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to our staff of licensed funeral directors.

Our Facilities

Were pleased to welcome you to our facility located at 1480 B Street in Merced, Evergreen Funeral Home & Memorial Park has been an operating Cemetery since 1872. Our grounds have vastly expanded since our beginning years, with the creation of Merced's only outdoor and indoor mausoleums.
